This fixed example has the same twelve garden words in three different arrangements. In the six-page file, pages 1–3 are puzzles and pages 4–6 are the answers in matching order. The three-page version has no answer sheets.

A small activity for a shared table

For a book club, start with the Books theme while people arrive. For a family table, use a familiar theme or your own short list. A library can print one sheet per person for a non-commercial activity. You can also print several identical copies of any version if your group is larger than twelve.

There is no timer and no need to turn it into a race. Read the words first, solve alone or in pairs, and keep the answer pages out of view until they are wanted.

Answers together, with matching codes

A pack with answers has twice as many pages as versions. A five-version pack, for example, has puzzles on pages 1–5 and keys on pages 6–10. The answer-preview checkbox changes only the preview; it does not mark the puzzle pages in the downloaded PDF. Changing the maker settings clears the old download so you can create a new matching pack.

Printing permissions and custom words

The original themed sheets are free for personal use and non-commercial groups, with the Quiet Word Garden credit kept on each complete sheet. Do not resell or republish the themed collection as your own. For custom lists, use words you have permission to share. Read our printing permissions and privacy information.
